We are pleased to welcome Regina Mateja to Epstein one of the newest members of our MEP/FP engineering group.
Regina was born in ZÅotów in the northwest part of Poland. She earned her Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Gdansk Institute of Technology in Poland, where she majored in Water Supply, Sewage, and Waste Treatment. She and her husband Jacek (also a plumbing engineer and a former Epsteiner!) moved to the U.S. in 1989.
Before coming to Epstein, she worked at CCE, an MEP consulting company, where she designed plumbing for a wide variety of commercial and residential projects, including the design of plumbing systems for many of the municipal facilities in Chicago's northwest suburbs.
Regina's work on those suburban public sector projects is the main reason she and Jacek chose to live in Arlington Heights, where they still live with son Maks, who is a junior in high school and an accomplished fencer. Regina and Jacek also have a daughter, Paulina, who is in her first year at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
At Epstein Regina is currently serving as the plumbing engineer for the massive $264M Seaboard Farms Triumph Foods pork processing facility in Sioux City, Iowa.
In her free time, Regina enjoys going on runs with Chief, their blue-tick beagle, as well as biking, skiing, and cheering on Maks at his fencing tournaments.
Once again, Regina welcome to the family and best of luck to Maks in his fencing!
