Epstein served as the executive architect and design manager for this 40-story (192m) 807,300-square-foot high-rise office building located in Warsaw, Poland. Epstein was also involved in the completion of contract documents, including specs, using drawings from another architect.
Rondo 1 is the largest office building of its kind in Central Europe and offers more than 624,300 square feet of rentable office space with unique tenant flexibility. The building features a 14m-high winter garden, retail and cafes adjacent to a 3-story entrance lobby. A future direct connection to the local public subway system was also considered to facilitate easy access and convenience for tenants.
The building orientation, massing and façade were carefully designed to maximize daylight penetration into the office floor plate. High performance glazing and stainless steel were the primary materials used on the façade.
Completed in 2006, the building is still considered one of the iconic markers of Warsaw’s skyline.
