Epstein is providing a 180-acre master plan for a performing arts center in Illinois. The complex will include a 28,000 square foot amphitheater with capacity for 2,000 guests in a covered seating area and 2,000 in the outdoor seating area made up of a large lawn and picnic area.
The complex features a large recreational park to host festivals and concerts with the potential for retail spaces including restaurants and cafes. Sound projected to the lawn area via speakers strategically placed throughout allow guests to set up picnics during performances. Additional design features include sustainable strategies such as water mitigation, permeable paver systems, bioswale, solar panels and energy saving MEP systems.
