353 North Clark, which serves as the new corporate headquarters for Mesirow Financial and Jenner & Block LLP, has more than 1,300,000 square feet of office space, 25,000 square feet of retail space, and a 180-car parking garage.
353 North Clark is part of a Planned Development that includes the existing 321 North Clark Office Building (formerly known as Quaker Tower), the existing Westin Hotel, and a proposed hotel and condominium located on the block north of the 353 site. The new 353 North Clark office building is located on the eastern portion of the site and creates an extensive landscaped entry plaza and retail element from Clark Street to Dearborn Street.
353 North Clark, which is certified LEED-CS Gold, features numerous sustainable design elements including a stormwater management plan that results in a decreased in quantity of runoff from calculated pre-project conditions.
In addition, the heat island effect is reduced through a 58% vegetated roof and that the installed irrigation systems reduce potable water consumption by 100% and total water use by 78% from a calculated baseline case.
