We are pleased to welcome Renata Pajerska, LC, LEED AP BD+C, to Epstein! Renata is our new lighting design studio manager and comes to us with over 15 years of electrical engineering and lighting design experience. Renata's portfolio includes projects for a wide variety of clients including public sector, institutional, educational and healthcare clients. She has experience in providing lighting design featuring decorative and accent lighting for projects like parks and sports facilities, including the recent award-winning Elgin Riverside Drive Promenade, a project Renata designed while at Primera Engineers.

When asked which of her past projects Renata has found to be her most interesting/challenging, she spoke of "that one which is coming up" as each project brings new challenges and unique opportunities to learn and experiment with lights. Renata finds this approach very rewarding as every successfully completed project makes her proud that, through her design, she can make a difference in the way people experience and appreciate the built environment.

Renata was born in Poland and received her Master of Arts degree from the University of Opole.
She came to Chicago over 15 years ago and now lives in Chicago's West Town with husband, Kris, and two sons: Piotr (9) and Luke (2). Before they became parents, Renata and her husband liked to travel around the world experiencing cultural diversity. By traveling on a "shoestring" they were able to visit most of the Mayan and Incan historical sites. She also has a special fascination with the Native American heritage which led her to meet and visit the Laguna Pueblo Indians in New Mexico. Renata found this a very fulfilling experience and wrote an extensive research paper on them.
