We are pleased to 'officially' welcome Mark Rustin to Epstein one of the newest members of our architectural group. After a year of interning and working part-time for Epstein, Mark's full-time Epstein start date was on June 1st.
Mark earned his undergrad degree from the University of Cincinnati DAAP (Design, Art, Architecture & Planning) and after graduating decided that Chicago was the place to be (is there any other?) and therefore moved with Barney, his corgi, in the fall of 2013 to attend the Illinois Institute of Technology. Mark completed his Master of Architecture this past spring and while at IIT he also gave tours for the school, participated in the SOFA Connect program as an artist and student, and taught a sketching and observation course to first year architecture students as a Cloud Scholar.
When not working, Mark enjoys cooking, reading, and watching movies. He is a bit of a movie buff, watching as many movies as he can each year, and successfully watching every Oscar best pic nomination for 7 years in a row (and counting). Living down in Bridgeport, Mark loves to explore Chicago and enjoy the lake. He hopes to become licensed architect as soon as he can, and would like to one day teach design.
Mark is currently working on the Cudahy Bacon Slicing Expansion and the Cudahy Smoked Sausage Expansion projects both in Cudahy, Wisconsin.
Once again, welcome, to the family Mark! And be sure to bring back some Cudahy treats for Barney!
