We are pleased to welcome Kelsey Wuthrich, our new Senior Design Engineer, to Epsteins Civil Engineering group! Prior to joining us, Kelsey has worked for the likes of Wight & Company, the Argonne National Laboratory and the USGS Illinois Water Science Center.
Kelsey attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (go Illini!), where she received her Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. Her primary concentration was in hydrology and hydraulics and her secondary concentration was in environmental engineering. While at U of I, Kelsey was also involved in organizations such as the Society of Women Engineers and the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
Kelsey has a family full of engineers and has always enjoyed solving problems. According to her, thats how she knew she wanted to pursue some sort of career in engineering.
I originally wanted to get a civil degree and then go into architecture, but I enjoyed my Intro to Hydrodynamics and Hydrology class so much that it changed my path. Being in the site development field kind of marries the challenges of hydrology with the site design component, and I love that!
Kelsey grew up in Roselle and went to Lake Park High School. Outside of work, she enjoys running, playing volleyball, doing puzzles and traveling. She is currently planning a trip to Tokyo in April!
We cant wait to see those pictures, Kelsey! Once again, welcome to Epstein.
