We are pleased to welcome Jorge Morin, our new Design Engineer, to Epstein’s MEP Engineering department! Prior to joining Epstein, Jorge worked as a plumbing design engineer at BTR Engineering. While there, he worked on a variety of unique jobs, including a number of restaurants as well as commercial and apartment buildings.
Jorge is a Chicago native, having grown up in Ashburn on the Southside. He attended Lindblom Math & Science Academy for high school. Jorge then went to the Illinois Institute of Technology for college and majored in architectural engineering. While there, he participated in multiple student organizations to be actively involved on campus, including serving as the treasurer for the student chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). Jorge was also elected to finance board chair of the Student Government Association in his final year of college.
As a kid, it was always Jorge’s dream to one-day design and build a house for his parents. That passion for design and engineering carried him throughout his educational years and is still very much a part of him today. Jorge also loves the ever-changing nature of the industry; there is always something new to learn or something new to explore and try.
In his free time, Jorge likes to run, binge the latest YouTube videos, visit new places, play basketball and hang with friends. Proud and special talent: making convincing owl and bird noises with his hands. Yes, he will randomly do it and, yes, it will catch you off guard. Jorge is also extremely proud of his Mexican culture; going to family parties and eating great food are added benefits!
Jorge would like his new Epstein family to know that he loves to be a team player. We’re just as excited to have you on the team, Jorge! Once again, welcome to Epstein.
