We are pleased to welcome John Copertino, our new Project Engineer, to Epsteins DesignBuild group! Since joining Epstein, John has primarily been focusing on the bidding process and getting the office expansion for WholeStone Foods ready for bid and construction.
Prior to coming to Epstein, John worked as an M.E.P. Coordinator at Milhouse Engineering & Construction. Among other responsibilities, John served as the coordinator for the American Airlines Hangar II expansion at OHare Airport and the Residential Sound Insulation Program for Chicago-area airports.
John received his Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Harrisburg Area Community College and then his Bachelors (BS) in Construction Management from Indiana State University (go Sycamores!).
Being a residential carpenter and remodeler introduced him to this industry, allowing John to acquire a huge amount of respect for building and the construction field as a whole. He hasnt turned back since.
He grew up in a small town west of Philadelphia called Lititz, PA. In his free time, John likes to play in a mens hockey league at Johnnies Ice House here in Chicago. He is very into sports, especially football (Philadelphia Eagles fan) and hockey (New Jersey Devils fan). He also enjoys cooking (new recipes welcome) and performing minor remodels as side work. Jon is big into entertainment, as well, including movies, TV programs and games.
What should his Epstein family know about him? John is a hard worker, easily approachable and is always looking for a good laugh. Oh, fun fact: He attended the Super Bowl in Minnesota when the Eagles beat the New England Patriots. Nice!
Once again, welcome to Epstein, John!
