We are pleased to welcome JD Hamil, PE BEMP, our new Senior Design Engineer, to Epstein's Mechanical Engineering department!

JD's past experience includes working for McGuire Engineers as well as for GTP Consulting Engineers.

He grew up in Metro Atlanta and went to Grayson High School. JD attended Georgia Tech (go Yellow Jackets!) for college. While there, he was in a fraternity and also played a lot of intramural sports.

Of what led JD to pursuing this industry, he said his mom is an electrical engineer, although in a different industry, and his dad is a residential home builder. So he decided to sort of split the difference!

Outside of work, JD likes to read, ski, travel, and wood burn. He and his wife, Leandra, got married two and a half months ago in Puerto Rico; just in time before the world shut down. Congratulations!

JD is excited to meet everyone in person and finally get to socialize again. We couldn't agree more, JD, and we are all just as eager to meet you!
