We are pleased to welcome Ilyssa Kaserman to Epstein, the newest member of our Chicago architectural studio. Ilyssa comes to us after receiving her Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology. While studying for her Bachelors, Ilyssa worked as an architectural intern for Perkins and Will on the Northwestern Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center.
Ilyssa grew-up on Long Island and went to High School in the North Virginia/Washington DC area.
While at IIT, Ilyssa participated in a study abroad program at the Why Factory led by Winy Maas of the Dutch architecture firm, MVRDV, at the Delft Technical University. While at the Why Factory Ilyssa studied bringing people of diverse backgrounds together though multi-unit housing. She travelled around Europe during the study abroad program visiting Italy, France, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands. Ilyssa particularly liked Copenhagen and how they have integrated technology into their everyday lives.
When not working at Epstein, Ilyssa enjoys exploring Chicago on her scooter.
Once again, welcome to the family Ilyssa!
