We are pleased to welcome Doris Collins, our new Construction Accountant, to Epstein’s DesignBuild group! With more than 15 years of industry-related experience, Doris will primarily be responsible for processing payment applications from subcontractors as well as general cost invoices and creating monthly billings. Doris started her career as an assistant property manager and periodically began assisting the construction department and ended up falling in love with it. Since then, she transitioned from being a construction assistant to the accounting side and wouldn’t have it any other way. She greatly enjoys the interaction with venders and subcontractors, and it is something she takes great pride in.

Prior to joining Epstein, Doris worked at Brinshore Development in Northbrook, an organization that builds multi-family housing. Prior to Brinshore, Doris was with Rush University Medical Center as the construction accountant and collaborated on a daily basis with the development team and budget office on every project. She was the accountant for their Rubschlager building, a $450 million, state-of-the-art cancer and neurosciences center.

Doris grew up in Chicago, just two blocks from Wrigley Field. She proudly states, “go Cubs!”

Outside of work, you can find Doris spending tons of time with her family and friends, going bowling and attending plenty of summertime BBQs. Her favorite thing to do, however, is to cook together with her mom.

What should her new Epstein family know about Doris? She is an easygoing person, a team player, and believes communications is the key to happiness.
