We are pleased to welcome Bill Barranco, P.E., our new Project Engineer!
Prior to joining Epstein, he worked as a mechanical engineer at Sargent & Lundy in the Loop. During his 10 years there, one of his favorite projects was working with the Los Alamos National Lab. Since hes been at Epstein, Bill has primarily been working on projects that are related to the Illinois Tollway Maintenance Facility program and the Midway International Airport Checked Baggage Inspection System Crossover.
Bill received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (go Illini!) in industrial engineering. Because two is better than one, he later received another Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (go Flames!) in mechanical engineering.
Although he was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, after college, he lived in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, New York City, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Santa Fe. And, yes, he always remained faithful to Chicagos sports teams.
Bill comes from a large Sicilian and Italian family with deep roots in Chicago. His grandfather owned a truck depot, as well as other properties, on Fulton near Ashland.
Some of Bills hobbies include traveling, snowboarding and playing board games Catan, Pandemic, Scythe and Twilight Struggle are a few of his favorites. Bill, what about Trouble? Its a classic! He also enjoys reading and going to restaurants, the movies and the theater. Oh, and he is definitely up for starting an Epstein book and/or board game club.
He is also a recently married man! The wedding was in November 2017, with a February honeymoon in Paris, Venice and Rome. Many congratulations!
Bill, welcome aboard, we are thrilled to have you! ... (And nominate you as president of the planning committee for the aforementioned book/board game club).
