We are pleased to welcome Anthony Outley, our new Senior Design Engineer, to Epstein’s Civil Engineering department! Since joining, he has primarily been working on as-builts and revisions for site development plans. Prior to Epstein, Anthony worked at Osborn Engineering as a design engineer for nearly 4 years, which is an engineering firm based out of Cleveland. While there, he was heavily involved in site development.
Anthony was born in Bartlett and moved to Delaware, Ohio when he was 4-years-old. He attended Olentangy High School, where he met his wife Erin. He proceeded to attend the University of Kentucky, where he studied civil engineering. Most of his free time was spent participating in various volunteer efforts as well as working part-time. Throughout his college years, Anthony also interned at the Ohio Department of Transportation for three summers. Anthony initially became interested in this industry because of his dad, who worked as an architect. While Anthony wanted to do something similar to him, he also wanted it to be somewhat different at the same time – civil engineering was the perfect fit.
Outside of work, Anthony enjoys riding his bike, frequenting the lake with Erin and their two dogs, Sully and Leia, and exploring the city, as they just moved to Chicago from Columbus earlier this month. Back in Ohio, however, Anthony’s hobbies mainly included working on and modifying cars. They’ve since transitioned to home remodeling. He’s even playing around with the idea of full rehabs at some point.
What else should we know about Anthony? He is always willing to help others and learn new things. Also, he may be a bit quiet at first, but, after some time, he will open up!
Once again, welcome to Epstein, Anthony!
