Heres our March 2017 construction progress update for one of the largest projects weve ever undertaken as a Design-Builder, the Seaboard Foods - Triumph Foods Pork Processing Plant in Sioux City, Iowa.

What you see here are few aerials of the 245-acre site as well as a collage of exteriors and interiors showing that our construction team is focusing on the completion on the installation of refrigeration equipment as well as the slabs for the distribution and equalizer (EQ) spaces.

Our concrete work for the Pet Food Dock Slabs is complete, grading for the distribution and EQ has started, installation of the livestock pens walls has begun and on the exterior the guardhouse, the retaining walls of the pet food area and tank pads continues.

On the steel side the trolley wash system and EQ secondary steel is complete. In addition, the insulated metal panel IIMP) walls in the Fresh Product Cooler has been completed and installation continues on the belly cooler.

Equipment on the process floor is 50% complete and in the refrigeration engine room the installation of the piping is nearly complete.

And, on the roof about 45% of the EQ space has been completed and tie-in work continues on the Distribution Dock. In addition, the work on the holding freezer roof will begin shortly.

Lastly, the 860,000 square foot Seaboard Foods Triumph Foods facility is budgeted at $294M and is scheduled to be completed mid-2017.
