Last week, Building Design + Construction magazine published their 19th Annual Building Team Awards winners for 12 building projects that represent the best in AEC team collaboration. The projects chosen were selected by a jury of architects, engineers and construction professionals which featured Epstein's senior vice president and director of project management, Jason Chandler, AIA, LEED AP.
The Building Team Awards jury met on March 23rd within BD+C's headquarters in Arlington Heights, Illinois and Jason relays that he thoroughly, 'enjoyed the detailed discussion between the members of the jury.' And that, 'each member brought a different perspective that led to some spirited debates as we reviewed the quality team award nominees submitted.'

BD+C's Building Team Awards recognize newly built (opened or occupied January 1, 2015 or later) projects that best exemplify the collaboration between owner, architect, engineer, and contractor to produce buildings that exhibit architectural and construction excellence.
The Submissions were judged based on two criteria:
- Design/engineering/construction quality and excellence (50%)
- How the Building Team (architects, engineers, contractors, CMs, subcontractors, building owners, developers, government entities, etc.) collaborated to overcome obstacles and make the project succeed (50%)
