Coming in at no. 63 in our Top 100 Projects countdown is a baking facility for Steinberg Foods, Limited, one of the largest plants Epstein has ever designed and engineered.
Located in Canada, we provided master planning, architectural design and full-service engineering for multiple facilities within their Montreal campus. These buildings included not only baking facilities but also grocery distribution centers, truck maintenance facilities and laundry plants.
When completed in 1965, the original 200,000 square foot baking facility was the largest and most automated facility of its kind in Canada. The 116,000-square-foot expansion, completed in 1972, allowed for the consolidation of Steinberg’s specialty bakery into the main facility and expanded the production lines.
