Tuesday afternoon, our Senior Vice President and Senior Project Manager, Tom Scheckelhoff, gave a lunchtime presentation to our staff covering his 52-year career in architecture; a career that he's spent with two firms, SOM and Epstein. This livelihood has seen him travel the globe, helping to deliver projects in places such as Saudi Arabia, Germany, China, England, Mexico and throughout the United States.
Toms more than half-century architectural journey has given him a front row seat to the incredible transformation the design profession has undergone since the late 60s, as well as the dramatic development changes in Asia and the Middle East.
Tom gave todays presentation as part of his final days with us before he retires at the end of March. Since joining our firm in November of 1997, Tom has been an invaluable member of our family and has been one of main reasons our projects for his clients a group that includes, among many others, the Whirlpool Corporation, SC Johnson, the Hyatt Corporation, Mesirow Financial, Related Midwest and Northern Illinois University have been such dramatic success for Epstein.
Tom, we wish you the very best in your next life adventure, and we thank you for being such a wonderful leader, mentor and friend!
