Cultivation & Manufacturing
Grow facilities are the lifeblood of the cannabis industry, and Epstein’s architects guide clients through critical design components of these facilities to ensure we deliver what they need to maintain that reality. Our MEP engineers recognize the central matter: designing a viable grow environment for product to thrive. Epstein’s team coordinates HVAC designs to achieve an optimal environment by controlling airflow, temperature and humidity. Similarly, our process engineers visualize each step to best configure a grow facility, and collaborate with our designers, engineers and construction professionals to implement plans and concepts based on the custom needs of each. Every room – mother, hydroponic and vegetation – serves a unique purpose, with the ultimate goal of producing large volumes of high quality cannabis.
The cannabis industry is in its infancy and still lacks standards – to Epstein this is an opportunity to provide customizable features and equipment, and highlight our ability to remain nimble, backed by decades of experience in architecture, interiors, industrial design, and a proven DesignBuild methodology.
Retail Dispensaries – A Peek Behind the Tinted Glass
The gradual process of states legalizing adult use cannabis and introducing branding, packaging, and a store’s interior design has now overcome stereotypes about cannabis use since the 1960s and 1970s. Present day polls show that more Americans now smoke marijuana over cigarettes (source: Gallup). With the normalization of cannabis use, comes a certain amount of curiosity from patients and recreational users. This curiosity can oftentimes pique an interest to find out exactly what is behind the doors, or possibly frosted glass windows, of a dispensary.
Capitalizing on that interest, we use our expertise to best utilize the need for security by turning it into an elevated design element. Our team also considers each risk when developing plans for security feeds and protecting cash transactions. Epstein’s interior designers understand what it takes to draw customers to the product, including getting them in the door.
Finding Your (Brand) Identity
Epstein’s interiors team has thorough expertise integrating brands into a cohesive design, creating palates and messaging to help our clients light a spark. Our team develops your vision into a recognizable brand, whether it is a focus on approachability, or speed and convenience, we guide our clients through the branding process to bring your ideas to life.
Your product can only go so far without a fully visualized brand. We look at your overall concept to narrow in on the minutiae that can ultimately mold our creative path. Our team also considers your short- and long-term goals, competitors and simply who or what you want the company to embody when defining your brand. Whether our client is in need of inspiration or there is a solid brand foundation already in place, Epstein’s designers will flush out the details and create the perfect look and feel.
