Epstein Takes on the Tough Mudder

Epstein had a blast taking on the Tough Mudder this year! The Tough Mudder, aptly named, is an endurance event series in which participants attempt miles-long obstacle courses.

Several Epstein employees decided to take on the Half Tough Mudder at Rockford International Airport, which features 13 rigorous obstacles over a 3-mile course. Team Epstein consisted of: Sergey Dunaev, Jessica Hufford, Kelsey Wuthrich, Samantha Schneider, Olivia Corcoran, Nick Dove, Jayadeep Reddy, Marcin Rysniak, Anna Mui, Sasan Naghieh and Epstein-honoree Michael Gillhouse.

The team prepared by training twice a week leading up to the event. On game day, they were able to complete each obstacle together and finished the Mudder as a unit.

One of the more challenging obstacles proved to be the Block Ness Monster, which requires teams to push and pull their way through a 30 long obstacle with 60 wide rotating blocks in 4 of cold water. Yikes.
