Jason Chandler, AIA, LEED AP, Epsteins director of project management, was interviewed in the October issue of Commercial Building Products magazine on the Architecture 2030 Challenge and how firms like Epstein are rising to the task of achieving the goals set forth in this ambitious sustainable design plan that targets a reduction in the global demand for energy and materials that produce by-product greenhouse gases.
In the article Jason answers a variety of questions about the 2030 Challenge including Epsteins experiences with achieving the design parameters, the feasibility of the Challenge, as well as what comes after. In addition, our work for the VA on the grounds of the Edward Hines Jr. Hospital is highlighted as an example of design that is helping meet the energy reduction guidelines of the 2030 Challenge.
