Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine just released their annual Top 100 Design-Build Firms for 2021 and we are very pleased to report that Epstein once again made the list.
Epstein’s 2021 Design-Build revenue was generated through a multitude of industrial sector projects. These projects included our ongoing work for Wholestone Farms in Fremont, Nebraska, a program that involves converting a dated former Hormel plant into a state-of-the-art pork processing plant. Projects that we have completed to date for Wholestone include a new CO2 Stunning Facility, a Pre-Waste Water Treatment Plant, a new Headquarters, cooling expansion as well as snap chill and trim operations. In addition, we are current building a new cut floor as well in the design phase of a new EQ and new locker rooms.
Additional Epstein Design-Build projects include a nationwide program for Jushi Holdings, Inc., an assignment that involves the construction of new and/or expanded cannabis cultivation facilities. We are currently completing the construction of Jushi plants in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Manassas, Virginia, & Lakeville, Massachusetts. In addition to these construction efforts, were in the design phase for two additional Jushi facilities in Toledo and Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to the work for Wholestone and Jushi, in 2021 our Design-Build team completed a new baking plant and R&D facility for Newly Weds Foods in Chicago, Illinois, a new CO2 Stunning facility for JBS Pork in Ottumwa, Iowa, began construction on two cellulose production improvement projects for Viscofan in Danville, Illinois and Bridgewater, New Jersey as well as a new EQ expansion for Triumph Foods in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Many congratulations to our Design-Build team members on this exciting industry ranking!
