Jushi Holdings Inc., a vertically integrated, multi-state cannabis operator, announced the opening of its 32nd retail location nationwide and their third dispensary opening in California.
Epstein is pleased to be a national partner for Jushi, supporting their expansion plans throughout the country. We are also providing planning and full DesignBuild services, including architecture, construction, civil, MEP, process and structural engineering, for their cultivation manufacturing facilities as well as design and MEP engineering services for their retail dispensaries.
“We are thrilled to be part of not only another Beyond / Hello Dispensary opening, but Jushi’s dynamic growth,” David Scott, Epstein's Director of Professional Services and Project Executive said. “Our collaboration with them has allowed Epstein to become one of the preeminent designers and engineers of cannabis dispensaries in the United States.”
For the Grover Beach renovation, Epstein conducted a full site assessment and provided a design narrative for this location as part of due diligence. Additionally, our architecture, interiors and MEP/FP engineering groups studied the previously completed drawings to develop a set of drawings to amend the previous permit. Epstein coordinated with Jushi and the General Contractor to oversee the retail dispensary build-out.
The space was previously an auto repair shop and turning it into an inviting dispensary was no easy feat, according to Andrew Pape, Epstein's Interiors Project Manager. The existing building was simply sheet metal over a frame. "Epstein was able to work with Jushi to guide them through the design process, acquire the building permit, and navigate through the Department of Cannabis Control to produce an engaging and welcoming space on California’s Central Coast," he said.
The 5,600 sf store will feature options for online ordering through the Beyond / Hello website, nine point-of-sale systems, including two express checkouts and a lot with 27 on-site parking spots.
