Epstein was pleased to attend Landmarks Illinois 2019 Real Estate and Building Industries Council (RBIC) event this year, which attracts leaders of the design, construction, development, real estate and finance industries in the activities of Landmarks Illinois.
The awards ceremony, hosted annually by the RBIC, is always held at a recently developed building or place that honors the project team for the success of its transformation. This is the first time an award was given to a development with a new building. This year, the event took place at Oxford Capital Groups rehabilitated Essex Inn and its new residential tower Essex on the Park in the Historic Michigan Boulevard Landmark District. We were particularly excited about this venue, as Epstein originally designed the 14-story hotel in the 1950s. Additionally, it was wonderful, and greatly appreciated, to hear RBIC and Oxford Capital Group acknowledge our timeless, mid-century modern design.
Representing Epstein at the event were the following: Randy Buescher, AIA, Director of Client Services, Ed Curley, AIA, LEED AP, Director of Architecture, David Scott, AIA, Director of Hospitality, and Laura Rebbe, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Project Manager.
Congratulations to Oxford Capital Group on Essex on the Park, and many thanks for your respectful renovation of our building.
