Epstein’s architecture group provided a preliminary design concept for a mixed-use development and Cavatina Concert Hall in Bainbridge, Washington, . The Bainbridge Island Review recently featured the mixed-use development and concert hall in their online publication. You can read it here: From Eyesore to Eye-Popping.
The space celebrates Bainbridge by enhancing the community as a livable, pedestrian-oriented community. The idea of community engagement was a prominent factor in designing an outdoor amphitheater. Immediately adjacent to the local ferry dock that welcomes thousands of people daily, the project acts as a gateway to the island and will provide a series of program functions tied by a public park. The development includes a hotel, luxury and affordable housing, retail space, a 2,000-seat concert hall, and a series of parks and plazas all above an enclosed parking garage. The project will also overlook some of the most beautiful views of Seattle’s skyline and Mount Rainier. The project is a collaboration with local Architect Coates Design.
