Since 2014, Epstein has been the on-call building architect for 55 West Monroe, a 40-story high-rise office building in Chicago that was designed in 1981. In this role, Epsteins interior architects have been called upon by the building owner, John Hancock Real Estate, to provide building improvements services for 55 West Monroes variety of financial, tech and legal service tenants. Furthermore, Epstein delivered design services for speculative office spaces to attract new leaseholders.
A recently completed example of our design work at 55 West Monroe is highlighted below. For this assignment, Epsteins interior architects provided a 55 West Monroe tenant with multiple new work areas to accommodate private spaces, such as phone rooms and benching, as well as focused areas, including a huddle space and collaboration room. In addition, this 4,600-square-foot design assignment also involved the reconfiguration and relocation of private offices to the east exterior, while adding one additional office. Lastly, our team was responsible for relocating and expanding the existing larger conference room to the northeast corner, and changing the front wall of a smaller conference room from drywall to glass.
The work you see here was led by Andrew Pape, our associate project manager, and design professional Cassiday Love. Congratulations, Andrew and Cassiday, for a job well done!
