July 15, 2022
Today, July 15, 2022, marks our 101st Anniversary. For the past year we have been “Celebrating a Century” through programs like counting down our Top 100 Projects, hosting a Gala at Chicago’s historic Shedd Aquarium, as well as publishing our award-winning book, The Epstein Story: Our First 100 Years.
While those celebrations, which rightly focused on our incredible ground-breaking achievements over the past 100 years, we are now turning our attention to the future and what the next hundred years looks like for Epstein. A time in which we will build upon our past success to help deliver creative, sustainable, & innovative solutions for our clients in a wide variety of industrial, commercial and civic market sectors.
In the industrial realm Epstein’s talented team of architects, engineers and construction professionals are looking forward to delivering flexible, efficient, state-of-the-art food processing facilities for clients across the world including new facilities for Newly Weds Foods in Kutno, Poland as well as the Poarch Band Creek of Indians in Atmore, Alabama. In addition to these new facilities, we are in the midst of transforming a dated Hormel plant in Fremont, Nebraska into one of the most advanced pork processing plants in the world for Wholestone Farms as well as dramatically improving the employee welfare spaces for Seaboard Foods in Guymon, Oklahoma.
Our commercial oriented work includes exciting new projects like a performing arts amphitheater in Bainbridge Island, Washington, a mixed-use development in Owensboro, Kentucky and an ambitious “co-living” and “co-working” community in Limassol, Cyprus. We’re also helping deliver advanced R&D spaces for OSF Flavors in Windsor, Connecticut, a new high-rise residential facility in Chicago as well as converting a 5-star hotel into an extended stay facility in Chicago.
These forward-thinking projects include providing much needed public infrastructure improvements for clients like the Chicago Transit Authority, Illinois Department of Transportation and New York’s Empire State Development Corporation. In addition, our civic-focused work includes modernizing schools and playgrounds for Chicago Public Schools, enhancing critical health and public service buildings and spaces for the Illinois Capital Development Board as well as playing a significant role in O’Hare International Airport’s ambitious $8.5B transformation.
We are very excited about the future for Epstein and look forward to our 2nd century of focusing on our clients’ needs, providing creative solutions and continuing our tradition of innovative thinking. Here’s to the next 100 years!
